Travel Concierge Booking Fees

As a professional travel agent, I charge a travel concierge booking fee for all travel services. 

 

With over 26+ years as a corporate, leisure, and group agent, I bring comprehensive knowledge and experience to every booking, offering services tailored to my clients personal interests and needs.  My professional affiliation with Plaza Travel and Signature Travel Network allow me to give my clients additional amenities above and beyond traditional travel requests.  

Most travel plans, even basic hotel and air, take time to research and finalize. More extensive itineraries, including cruises, theme park travel, honeymoons, customized itineraries, and group travel require additional time, research, and customization.   By charging a fee, I am able to concentrate fully on the clients who hire me for my destination expertise, commitment to excellence, and attention to detail.     

Three reasons I charge fees for my services: 

1. Most airlines no longer pay commission to travel agents and some hotels no longer pay commission.  For example, I recently assisted a client with a customized South African itinerary and 95% of the hotels I booked did not pay commission.  For the suppliers who do pay commission, I do not usually get paid until 60-90 days after a client returns from their trip.  

2. Research and pricing take time, especially for the traveler who is uncertain of their destination, budget, or needs. This is especially relevant for clients who want me to research and price multiple destinations or who have a very detailed or customized itinerary.  As other professionals, I expect to be paid for the work I do and appreciate those who value my time and expertise.   

3. Charging a service fee allows me to concentrate on the clients who are serious about their travel plans and willing to make an investment in a quality trip.  While my goal is to always offer my clients the best trip for their budget, I am not a budget agency and do not compete with the online booking engines.

Leisure Travel Fee Structure

  • $15.00 | Standard Auto/Hotel Reservations (waived for simple itineraries)
  • $25.00 | Domestic Airline Tickets
  • $50.00+ | International Airline Tickets (Per Person)
  • $100.00 | Standard Cruise or Tour Package
  • $175.00 | VIP Cruise or Tour Package
  • $150.00 | Standard Theme Park Package
  • $250.00 | VIP Theme Park Package
  • $200.00 | Standard Honeymoon Package
  • $300.00+ | VIP Wedding/Destination Wedding Package
  • $250.00 | Group Package (Up to 12 guests)
  • $350.00+ | Group Packages (12 or more guests)
  • $300.00+ | Custom Itineraries

I also offer frequent traveler membership packages for repeat clients, please ask for more information.  

Cancellation/Change Fees

  • Please note that airline/supplier cancellation/change fees are an additional cost.

Planning/concierge fees may be waived at agent discretion.  Fees vary depending on services. Complicated and/or extensive itineraries may require additional fees. All fees are non-refundable unless noted. Initial planning fees must be paid before planning starts and additional charges that may arise will be billed.
